Episode 2: Them! (1954)

Ants and locusts (well, grasshoppers) attack! In this episode, Natalie and Arnold take a look at two giant bug movies of the 1950s, THEM! (1954) – one of Arnold’s favorite films of all time in any genre – and BEGINNING OF THE END (1957), which they discovered via MYSTERY SCIENCE THEATER 3000. Featuring the brothers Aurness (James Arness, Peter Graves), the two movies share some other notable connections, so keep a can of spray handy as Natalie and Arnold take a deep dive into a New Mexico ant colony and chase those grasshoppers – sorry, locusts – all the way to Lake Michigan!

And remember, when you’re listening to this podcast, the only ghoul in the house…is YOU!

Episode 1: House on Haunted Hill (1959)

The more things change… Natalie (The “Accidental Hellraiser Scholar”) and Arnold (The “Doctor of the Dead”) begin a new era in podcasting with an inaugural episode devoted to one of their all-time favorite horror movies, the seminal suspense classic from William Castle, 1959’s HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL! Join Vincent Price, Carol Ohmart, and the guests at the historic Ennis House for an evening of food, drink, ghosts, and a plucky skeleton named “Emergo!” And when that night is over, stick around for the regrettable follow-ups, the 1999 remake of HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL, and the truly frightening (in a bad way) 2007 sequel, RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL!

And remember, when you’re listening to this podcast, the only ghoul in the house…is YOU!
