Episode 23: A Hitchcock Double Feature – Psycho and The Birds

Halloween approaches, and this year Natalie and Arnold turn their attention to some classics of horror and suspense cinema  as part of this year’s spooky celebration. This episode, it’s time to take a look at two towering (and consecutive) achievements in terror by the Master himself, Alfred Hitchcock! First up, take a trip to the Bates Motel in the “Mother” of all slasher movies, PSYCHO (1960)! Then it’s off to Bodega Bay for some seaside rest and relaxation, and oh yes, the revolt of the natural world, in THE BIRDS (1963)! So have a sandwich in the parlor, stay away from basements and attics, and take wing with this very flighty episode of GHOULS IN THE HOUSE!

And remember, when you’re listening to this podcast, the only ghoul in the house…is YOU!

Episode 3: The Fog (1980)

Natalie and Arnold visit scenic Antonio Bay to help celebrate its 100th anniversary! There’s just one problem – the town was built on a horrible lie, and a vengeful gang of seafaring zombie ghosts are returning for revenge, hidden in THE FOG (1980)! It’s time to talk about another one of our favorite “comfort food” movies and one of John Carpenter’s finest film ensembles, as well as this modern classic’s unfortunate remake, THE FOG (2005), and a somewhat similarly-themed B-movie Voodoo romp, ZOMBIES OF MORA TAU (1957). There’s seaweed and salt water everywhere, and a chill in the air, so bundle up in your favorite plaid shirt, stay out of the fog, and keep your candles lit!

And remember, when you’re listening to this podcast, the only ghoul in the house…is YOU!
